Only the audio of an .avi video shows up when I'm watching my video. I'm using Vista.

I think this has something w/ codecs so I downloaded DivX 7 and I can watch the video properly on the DivX player but how do I make it work on WMM? Please help?

You need more and better integrated codecs (encoder/decoder) to play the videos in question.

download the The CCCP : Combined Community Codec Pack. It contains a majority of codecs that are used today and will help you play the video files.

Maybe you should try different codec packs, the one i use is called K-lite, i've been using if for about a year now and i haven't come accross a video that i haven't been able to play, well if windows media player doesn't play the video is will open Windows media player classsic, which is like an old work horse, it just keeps going.

Heres a link for you: http://www.codecguide.com/download_kl.htm

I have the standard, or the full pack, im not 100% sure.

But it should solve the problem you have and should solve future problems with codecs.

Hope this is of help.
