Bar,
I had this problem too. I had it so bad I ended up going in for a very expensive out patient endoscopy. They didn't find anything. You know what it was? My cigarettes were old. Try to find a different brand or make sure they are kept in the freezer, try to cut back too if you can. None of the antacid meds worked on me. I had trouble sleeping also, it seemed like it was the worst when laying down.
I've been taking a silkworm enzyme for the mucus, I get a lot of sinus mucus and it's gone when taking this nutrient. It's for inflammation, excess mucus, and sinus problems. I'm taking 18,thousand IU's a day in the morning on an empty stomach (that's two capsules). The brand name is serrapeptase and I order it from puritans pride.
I didn't throw out those cigs that were old, what I did was buy fresh, kept them in the freezer, put the old ones in the freezer also, and marked those packs, after the symptoms got better I would have an old one once in a while.
If you feel bloated after eating try drinking a cup of water 20min.s before your meal and have some yogurt with your meals too, it helps digestion. Hope you find some relief, the last time I ended up with a problem batch of cigs it felt like chest pains going from my up my chest into my throat, I got some different cigs right away and took some Ibuprofen and the problem eventually went away again after two days.
Hard to believe it's just that isn't it? Well, it was in my case. And since this has happened to me I've heard of other that it happened to also. Nothing the doctors did helped me, hope you find out what works for you, Good luck.
