can't restart nokia sprint cell phone

Don't know why but when I tried to restart my Sprint Nokia phone by pressing the button on top I get the Nokia screen then the Sprint screen for about 10 seconds then the screen goes dark. When I press the button again nothing happens. The screen stays dark. If I remove the battery and put it back in again I can repeat the same Nokia-Sprint cycle but the screen goes dark again. Exchanging the battery with one from another phone of exactly the same description doesn't change a thing. Is there anything I can do other than take it in to a dealer? I would like to avoid the time and hassle. I can't find a model number on the phone. I have had it about a year. :flamemad:

il try this way (if im the one who will fix ur phone.)
1. set contrast first. if nothings happen,
2..change LCD, if nothing happened
3. ReFlash, if nothing happened
4. Hardware, tracing some component that is not responding.
