I read a novel where I can't remember either author nor title.
The book starts with police officers coming to a crime scene where the find a child in an apartment, which parents were murdered in the same place.
Then the story continues after 30 or 40 years or something where the police is investigating another murder (a man found in an alley). It turns out at the end of the story, that the man was killed by a women of the investigation team which was the little child from the beginning of the book (now a police woman). The victim was the person who murdered her parents.
I guess the book was written in the 60s to 80s, because there is no use of cell phones, internet and so on. I think the author is female.
