Can't reach the pedals in the car, are platform shoes a good idea?

Hi, well I am just under 5ft tall and I have size 3 feet. We've pulled the seat as far forwards as it will go. Currently I am wearing trainers to drive but my friend said I should try platform shoes (the wedge type not stiletto type) but I don;t know if its a good idea? At the moment when I pressed the pedals my foot is not resting on the floor at all its kind of being held above the floor and this gives me leg ache. BTW its not my car its my driving instructor when I buy my own car I will buy a smaller one.
thanks, well i thought about a cushion but I can already see out the window ok, its my legs that are short lol. wouldnt a cushion make the distant from the pedals greater? also i can't really change instructors as i paid for the particular company with a voucher and they company has the same car for every instructor, if i was to change i would have to pay it myself and it was £500 gift voucher. and i cant get pedal extenders fitted to someone else' car.... i am thinking perhaps i am over reacting, it was the clutch that made my leg ache and since i only had one lesson and that lesson invovled a LOT of clutch pressing, maybe i am over reacting... thanks anyways guys
thanks trevor that makes more sense! i will ask my instructor if they have those extenders or a cushion at the company, i guess they would have one or the other since its a big company.
