Can't psynch...can't connect to home network...help!

My new TX won't hot synch with my desktop..although it will synch with my laptop. I've removed all traces of my sony clie palm desktop though add/remove programs. I've loaded the software three times..but getting stuck at the identifying user phase of hotsynch. (or sometimes just at the first phase of "connecting" It then states: "the connection between your device and the desk top was lost. Some of your data was not backed up. Check set up and try again. (or the connection between handheld and computer could not be established) By the way...the computer does recognize the hardware when I connect the TX.

I'm connecting with the cradle/cable option. any ideas appreciated! :) (including you, Moose, since we last posted, I bought the TX!)

Second problem... My TX recognizes by home router network, but does not connect to any website. The TX shows connected, but nothing comes up on the home page (mobile.palm.com)

Any help appreciated! TX! ken
 
Hellenik: Problem connecting to router is fixed. I dumped AOL (which was obstructing the connection) and went with Road Runner. WiFi connecting smooth as silk now. Still can't synch with desktop though. I think it's some type of conflict with former palm desktop (sony clie) which was installed previously. I've installed and re-installed TX software, but still no luck. The TX synchs with my laptop though, so I no it's something unique to the desktop.
