its current version is 3.0 (7A341), 1st generation. I've just downloaded another firmware like this one : iPod1,1_3.0_7A341_Restore and use redsnow 0.7.2 to break, already transfer it to DFU mode, for a long time, the redsnow still says wating for restart and may be halted. After 30 mins, seems nothing happened, with a little fear, i plug-out the Ipod, power on and cheerful, nothing happened, just like the redsnow didn't do anything. I was afraid that it would become an ibrick than an Ipod after all
