I just bought an iphone 3GS and the guy i bought it from restored it. It's now at the activation screen on firmware 4.0.1 and it's locked to bell. I don't have a bell sim so is there anyway i can get past the activation screen. If there is can you let me know how. I'm guessing i have to jailbreak it but I'm not sure how. Redsn0w isn't recognizing the iphone firmware i downloaded
I know i have to get it unlocked but i don't know how besides getting the provider to do it. I can't activate it normally because i don't have a bell sim
