Yesterday I had a company install my Samsung PN50B650 plasma tv, yamaha YSP 4000 sound bar and my Samsung Blu Ray player. I was unable to get the 5.1 surround setting wit the blu ray plater no matter what I chose, I was only able to get the 2 channel setting.

Can anyone help me with this???

I also have a dish network box that's ran to my tv, but it's not recognizing the input, any ideas??

Thanks!

OK. Try wiring in the components to the Surround Reciever first as Aux, DVD etc. then to the TV. No need to switch except for the remote!

Hope this Helps!

If you paid to have installation done, you need to have them come back and correct the problems at no charge.

To help you, we would have to know how the Blu-ray player is connected to the sound bar and TV. With HDMI cables?

Only HDMI can carry the lossless audio tracks (Dolby TrueHD and DTS-MA) that Blu-ray discs have. Any other connection, such as optical or coax digital audio, only has enough bandwidth for two channels.

And how is the Dish box connected to the TV?

The installers should have told you how to switch inputs on the TV between Dish, and Blu-ray. Did they do that?
