47-year old male diagnosed with Panic Disorder and High Blood Pressure about 3-1/2 years ago. Taking 1mg Clonazepam, a 5/20 mg Lotrel, and a 2.5 mg Bystolic daily. Have had all kinRAB of tests on my heart, all with good results. Sometimes I can work and exercise strenuously with no problem, but sometimes the slightest physical exertion and my heart rate will jump up almost instantly. Sometimes it may be just walking up a flight of stairs. No chest pain, no shortness of breath, just elevated heart rate. This seems to be more prevalent with time. Anyone have the same problem? I have been attributing it to some strange manifestation of anxiety (over-sensitivity to adrenaline?). I'm 5'-11" and 175 punRAB, in relatively good condition, but I'm afraid I will not be able to maintain my physical conditioning over time if this continues. I'm sick of my primary care physician and cardiologist. They never give me any answers - just more pills. I'm going to make an appointment with a naturopathic doctor to see if they can straighten this all out.
