OK. I guess I can find an OBD2 codes scanner if I need to, but I was trying to get the DTC codes to display on the dash. I turned the ignition to "on, off, on, off, on" within a 5 second time period, but I got no response from the check engine light flashing or the odometer display showing codes. I've tried this several times at several different speeds an got nothing. It's a 99 Jeep wrangler sport 4.0 manual. Am I missing something here?
It's not Old school. All US vehicles from 1996 to present use ODB2 computer systems. It's also recognized by the 16 pin port under the dash.
