Hi, I am a Cingular customer an amd trying to decide what to get for my next phone. I currently have a Nokia 6820 which has the flip over keyboard but the slow wap sites drive me nuts. Also the keyboard is impossible to use with one hand.
I love Nokia (my wife has a 6102 which I think is great) but they don't seem to make what I need and the E61 will have no camera which sucks.
I need something that functions well as a phone and is comfortable to use and that I can fit in my front pocket & has some kind of camera. I would also like something that I can surf the real internet with (no wap sites). Using T9 text to enter info when using the internet seems like it would be a hassle, if someone has a different experience with it please let me know. Also, which of these phones would be the fastest when using the internet?
I won't be emailing a lot, but I would be doing searches and accessing websites like Google Local, Ameritrade, Bank of America, Ebay, Investors.com, and other places where I might have to do a little data entry.
I would really like something I could whip out while driving and enter a quick search and pull up a map without crashing the car, lol.
These are my impressions:
Treo 650: I like the size & one handeness of the but I wonder if it is outdated and wonder if the Palm OS is any good.
HP 6515: I like the completeness of the HP but I wonder if its too big.
Cingular 2125: I like the the size & Windows 5.0 but it has no qwerty.
Cingular 8125: Sounds like it will have good specs but god knows when it will be out and it seems like it definitely will require 2 hands.
My perfect phone would be some kind of Nokia Flip Phone that is the size of Treo when opened, has a qwerty keyboard that can be used with one hand & runs Windows 5.0.
Unfortunately they aren't making that LOL. So what would you guys recommend? Am I off base in my impressions of any of these devices?
