ok so heres the deal, Im staying at my fathers for the weekend to take care of the animals while he's out of town.

well long story short, I just sold my car, so at the moment i dont have the ability to drive anywhere else for internet, and i NEED internet for work.

well I found out the hidden networks name, so i set up my computer with the network name and password. It can find the network and says its full connection, however it cannot connect.
i vaguely remember him mentioning something before about having it setup that only computers he allows can get on the internet.

I cant call him up and ask him for help on this, he has no phone signal where hes at.
Well i need an answer quick so please help me, and dumb it down for someone whos not good with network settings.

first off the router is a D-Link DIR-625
secondly i know the password to get into the router (192.168.0.1) so i can connect with another computer.

But as far as MY laptop is concerned (windows 7 btw) even if i connect to the Ethernet cable i cannot connect to the internet.
i've tried resetting the router, and as i said i tested the password to make sure its right.

I did notice there are other computers in the house.
when i go into the router settings it originally said number of dynamic DHCP clients: 3
and had 3 computers with mac addresses listed. (for some reason thats showing up as 0 now...while i was messing with the settings i hope i didnt screw anything up, he's a real easy guy to piss off, my father :/ )

im not sure if that has anything to do with why i cannot get online or not. I do vaguely remember my father mentioning something about having to allow computers on the network or something. So any help would be greatly appreciated please..

I really got to get this thing fixed fast too, i really need to get on the net (im distracted trying to figure stuff out so i know i repeated myself a couple times. The computer im borrowing is a pain in the ass to use <_< and slow)
