CANT CHAT ON ANY WEBSITE WITH JAVA!!!!!!?

i cant enter a chat room whenever i try to do so at any site .....i tried uninstalling and reinstalling my java..this problem is recent...PLEASE HELP OUT!!!!!
the message that i get is:time out
