Cant bring up cheat menu on PS2 The Sims??

ive tried using L1,L2,R1 and R2 together while in play and at main menu but it never brings up cheat menu. anyone know whats wrong and how to fix?
This is for the first sims on playstation 2. thanks.
 
It easy...Press and hold shift+Ctrl+C...A little bar will appear on the top of the page. Here is a KOOL code for you...Kaching....Type that in and you will get a $1000. Type exit, and the cheat bar will go away. I hope that helps.
