sony vaio fj170 had driver issues with windows 7 installed. i then installed vista, same problems. rolled it all the way back to xp with the recovery disc & now it won't even connect to the wireless network, although it does see it. In all three OS's the ethernet wouldn't connect, kept saying Network Cable is Unplugged. I did some searching & got it to actually connect ONCE, by going to CMD line & doing something with netsh that I found in a forum on the subject. It worked once, and then ceased. So I know it's not the ethernet port, and now the wireless won't even connect. Unplugged router, cables, etc. Still nothing. And now that I can't update the drivers, due to no access, back to installing Vista??!? Anyone know anything about this stuff?
