Can't access my voicemail (US cellular)?

Well to start off every time I turn my phone off and then turn it back on I get a least on new voicemail...and I have no missed calls. Why is this? When I go to listen to it, it dials my number and password by its self. But once it does the password it said "goodbye", and hangs up. So I just dialed my number myself put my password in and it does the same thing, or ask for a mail box number. I don't know my mail box number. I normally don't check my voice mail because I just check missed calls then call back, just deleting the voicemall. But since I have no missed calls I would like to check it. I really don't want to take my phone in cause I have other problems with my phone....Like I can only talk on it while on speaker phone. They can hear me but I can't hear them. And I don't have the money to get a new phone right now. So is there a way to reset the voicemail or something????
