I am looking into buying my first DSLR and I'm having a lot of trouble deciding which camera is right for me. At the moment I have my eyes on the Canon 500D and the Nikon 3100. I like the feel/interface of Nikon a bit more, but I am not picky and I know that I will adjust either way. Through the Canon Loyalty Program I would be able to get a very good deal on the T1i. I am basically looking for a camera with decent video and the ability to have very good image quality when I upgrade the lens further down the road (hopefully somewhat affordable lenses?).
