Is this a good camera for going on safari in south Africa. I've just bought it from QVC

Its ?400 with 4 easy payments of ?100. I can test it and return if if I don't like it so I bought it as I've nothing to loose if I don't like it
at the moment I have a point and shoot lumix tz30 which is great for video but I wanted a better camera for south Africa.
is it a good buy?
I want better image quality than my tz30. panoramic assist ect
