I have an friend of the family who is a photography buff, who is offering to sell me a Canon EOS Elan 7 SLR for a very good price. She tells me it will be good for dark room B&W photography, but I am not sure if she is just saying that to make me buy the camera.
My previous camera I worked with was a simple old 35mm (I forget the brand), which I liked. At school we process our own film and develop our photos in a dark room.
So my question is, is a Canon EOS Elan 7 good for what I need? AKA are the manual functions on the camera easy to use? The last time I tried to use a "newer" camera with both auto focus and manual control I was dumbfounded as it wouldn't let me change the aperture, and had no apparent light meter.
