I have Canon A540 lately cannot take photo with flash on. Although I can take photos when flash is off but when I turn the flash on ( auto or forced flash on) the flash indicator on the screen keeps blinking and nothing happens. I also tried waiting for around 20 sec once after pressing the button to take photo. I looked at other posts which mentioned abt delays becoz of battery problems. I am using rechargable Energizer 2500mAh NiMH batteries although the batteries are old > 2 yrs not sure thats the problem. I also tried reducing flash level to -2 from default 0. Any other suggestions. Thanks you.
