At least one-third of all cancer cases are preventable. Prevention offers the most cost-effective long-term strategy for the control of cancer.

Tobacco is the single largest preventable cause of cancer in the world today. It causes 80-90% of all lung cancer deaths, and about 30% of all cancer deaths in developing countries, including deaths from cancer of the oral cavity, larynx, oesophagus and stomach

Selenium 200mcg per day was found to cut cancer rates almost in half in the University of Arizona Selenium Study.

For a dirt cheap supplement thats avaliable everywhere, thats a pretty fantastic result..... i seriously think they should be adding it to the water along with fluoride.

A daily multi with folic acid also reduces certain cancers.

I have read a lot about eating plenty of fruits and vegetables but don't eat too many of them. You need the antioxidants in them to help destroy free radicals which damages cells and that in turn can cause cancer.
