Can I cancel my Verizon Wireless service today? Can I cancel regardless of whether its the first day of a new billing cycle or if its the 16th day ? What I mean is, I called Verizon to cancel my cell phone today and the customer rep told me that because my billing cycle starts on the 26th of every month, today being the 29th, I have to wait until April 26th to permanently cancel. There is no way I am paying for another month of Verizon service because my phone is DEAD. I am no longer under contract with Verizon, my 2 years is up as of February. Was the Verizon customer rep BS'ing me?
