cancel t mobile contract without ETF? No service?

My husband and I have been customers for years. We used to like them but for the past year they have given us nothing but crap. We have a 2 yr contract that has less than a year left on it. We just bought another house a few towns over and get absolutely no service. We have to drive 30 minutes to get service. I read online that if this happens you can cancel and not pay ETF. Is that true? If we have to pay for service we don't get I'm gonna raise hell. Don't have the money for the ETFs, not to mention they treat us like absolute crap. I just got off the phone with them about my phone(which we pay insurance for) not working and I wanted to get a replacement(which is why we pay for insurance) and they claimed I wasn't using the phone right and it was my fault the phone didn't work and would not send another. If we weren't moving I'd deal with it for another 10 months but our new house has no service(their own maps show no service) and we can't live for 10 months with no way to contact anyone(especially with a 30 min. drive to get service. Our cars do break down a lot). Can we get out of contract due to this or will they make us continue to pay for crap/no service? We don't want to mess up our credit or have collection agencies hounding us so canceling with them still wanting ETF isn't an option. I read we'd have to show proof of address and that's no problem.
Yes, there should be reports in our file that I/we have called about problems many times including crap charges like claiming we went over minutes when our phone says the time was after 9pm(free night/weekend) and they claim it was before 9.T mobile is horrible, just out to screw you.
