WABAMUN, Alta. - Prime Minister Stephen Harper says he plans to get immunized against swine flu.
Health officials are urging Canadians to get a shot against the H1N1 virus when the vaccination becomes available in early November. Harper says he expects final approval for the vaccine soon. Canada has been criticized for not rolling out the vaccine quickly enough when it is already available in the United States and other countries.
But Canada's chief public officer of health says that once the program does begin, Canadians will be immunized faster than people in other parts of the world.
A poll released last week indicated one-third of those surveyed planned to get the swine flu shot

The overwhelming majority of comments accused Harper of getting a different vaccine than the people would get --- A lot of them said negative things about the vacine and warned others - A few had links
They closed the comment section --- I believe because Canadians just have the wrong opinion
--- Yesterday in the Toronto Sun it was reported that health officals are perplexed by the "persistent skepticism" --- up to 2/3 of Canadians said they don't trust it and they don't want a vaccine --- Health officials are at a loss as to how to convince Canadians they are wrong LOL
Please notice the end of this article above lists 1/3 of Canadians are willing to roll up their sleeves ........... putting a positive spin on things of course
Canadians have the wrong opinion Is this a form of media manipulation ?
Pfo
The media and health officials are not saying 2/3 of Cdn have the "wrong opinion"
--- I am saying it -- I am summarizing their views into plain launguage which they are allergic to
That statement would never be issued by a government official
Media and government statements tend to read more along the lines of
aggressive campaigns have been launched against the vaccine health officials perplexed by persistent skepticism and urge Canadians to protect themselves
They can keep their shot --- give it to Harper --- give my dose to Her Excellency's children All these articles tell me is the propaganda is failing and the government is trying to come up with a plan B sales pitch - Clearly trotting out the PM was a flop and therefore removed
