Canadian Street Glide LED mod

I recently read a couple of posts by Harleypingman and Bigmeanie regarding how to add LEDs to the rear fender tip light on a Street Glide.

Mine is a 2010 Canadian version of the bike. In Canada, the fender tip assembly is shipped empty - no LEDs/lights at all. That meant that the instructions in the above mentioned posts were not 100% applicable to me, but they were an excellent start.

I've completed mods to two 2010 CDN FLHXs now and I took lots of pictures along the way. I'm new to the forum from a posting point of view, so I was wondering if I should post instructions and pics showing what I did, and if so, is this the right place to do so?

YOU CAN FIND THE INSTRUCTIONS FURTHER DOWN IN THIS THREAD

The easiest way , I think,is to get a photobucket http://photobucket.com/ account (it's free) and link to the pictures when you post.
This way you can post a pretty big picture without the forum server having to host the file.
I'm pretty sure that most of the big picture posters do it this way.
I do anyway and it's pretty easy.
Welcome to the forum.

My pal's '09 SG (also a Canadian bike) came with a working Tri-Bar tailight. My '10 SG did not - and it drives me nuts why not! Please post your pix.

i am from canada too, i was looking to modified my street glide 11 led light housing.
i though about removing the housing and trying to fit 2 , 1157 lights to see
if it would light up enough....i will take the housing apart this week end
and see what i can do under 50$$$.... cant wait to see what you have done..
