I know it sounds pretty stupid, but for english I am writing a book and might be submitting it to a publisher. I want to write one thats like a book on questions that make you think...sort of like a joke book. Can I use funny questions i find online in it..because you can't really 'copyright' a question (e.g, can you cry under water?)

Thanks, serious answers only please.

As long as you cite your sources it is completely fine. I highly recommend citing them in order to avoid any possible legal blunders. Many web pages have supposed copyrights on them, and if the copyright is real then you can get in serious trouble if they aim to slap a lawsuit on you.

I suppose it depends on where you get the questions from really - if it is an offical website of a comedian for example then yes you probably would need copyright but if it is just from a forum or webpage then you wouldn't need any copyright.

Hope this helps.
