I recently worked for a property management company that would only allow section 8 voucher participants to only live in certain buildings on the property. Coincidently, these were considered the least desirable units on the property.The property had 10 towers and 100 town homes but the management would have us only offer certain units to section 8 and would not even consider letting section 8 people rent the town homes. This management company would also ask the section 8 prospect how much there voucher is for and then change (raise) the price depending on their answer. Can any one tell me if this is legal?
