Can you work at mcdonalds in ca at 14?

Can you work at mcdonalds in ca at 14??, one of my friends said that you could apply at mcdonalds at 14, is that true?? If so wouldnt you only be like graduation from....... 8th grade?? I think it sounds a little weird maybe not. Do you know????
 
Well, I've heard people getting in at 15. Just working the lobby. It doesn't hurt to apply! Even if they don't hire you now, they might in the future, so apply anyway.
