Can you wash gel toe pads for pointe dancing?

ok so i do ballet...i had an infection in my toe from ballet...i need to wash my gel toe pads in case the infection is still in them.....can you wash them? or is it not good for them? they look like this.. and they are this brand too.

You should be able to. Use cold water, and don't dry them or they might melt. Also, depending on the infection, if you put them in the freezer, the infection might die. I can't tell what exactly the material is on the toe pads, but if it is just gel/squishy stuff, you may need to put baby powder on it (if they're kinda sticky).
