Can you visit the Grand Canyon's North Rim in April? A friend is asking and I've gotta admit, I've never actually been there that early in the year. I *think* you can drive down from Kanab, as long as the road is clear, but that the Lodge and Visitor's Center are closed. Can you actually drive all the way to the Visitor's Center, or do you run-into one of those just wonderful National Park Service gates across the road at some un-hikeable distance from any of the viewpoints?
