Can you use the ATT data plan to connect your PC to the internet via Nokia E71X?

I am getting the E71X. I don't want to get the data plan since I already have internet, but I have a feeling it's going to be pretty much forced. Then thought I remember seeing you could connect a PC to the internet VIA the ATT DATA PLAN through your cell phone.

Anyone know if this is true? My cell will be arriving shortly so I can test it myself, but maybe someone already knows.
