well right now I have the mytouch 4g but I bought it off ebay because I didn't need a data plan (i have wifi everywhere I go). However I want to access the android market to get all the cool apps and stuff. SO far I have figured out how to basically turn off automatically connecting to any kind of mobile connection except when I try to access the android market. Whenever I open the android market it says "Market needs Background data to be enabled" (regardless of whether I not I enable it or not) HSPA+ icon pops up and its says that its connected (There are two symbols for HSPA+ if the arrows are a light grey its connected and if the arrows are dark grey that means its in use) I always get the one with the light grey arrows.Which I dont' know if I will be charged to internet if its "connected" because I mean are connected and in use basically the same? So basically I was wondering how do i stop this from happening I don't wanna get charged for data! But have no idea how to just turn off that connection it just automatically turns on whenever I try to open the android market!
