Can you use nokia phones with alltel service?

If I buy a nokia phone can I take it to my alltel dealer and have it activated?
 
Depends on the model. Nokia makes phones for all carriers, you have to make sure you get one that is compatible with the Alltel system.(CDMA) With Verizon purchasing Alltel, they may make them conform to Verizon policies already, which means if you didn't buy it from Verizon, they won't activate it on your account...
