Can you use different types of fish other than cod and halibut to make fish and chips? Or will it just have a nasty flavor. If you know please tell me and if you know a recipe, also put that in there if you can.
You can use other types of fish. Red Snapper, Monk Fish, Catfish (but watch out for the bones), even salmon in batter. What our local Skippers Fish and Chips place uses is the Red Snapper unless you order the cod or halibut instead. I find cod and halibut have a tendency to dry out quicker than the red snapper.
