I was wanting to buy an HTC phone unlocked on eBay. I was wondering if any of them (and if so, which ones) you could use things like internet, video chats, GPS, directions, or apps (like Android apps) on an available wi-fi connection without having a data plan. The only places I normally use my current phone is at my college and at my house, both of which have wi-fi. I do not want to pay for a data plan even if I get my local wireless carrier to cover the phone (as they do cover most HTC phones). So, can you use any of these functions on an HTC phone with only wi-fi?
Can you use any HTC phones on wi-fi instead of on 3 or 4g?
