Can you use AMERICAN electronics (computers, hair straigtners, etc) in DUBAI?

Visiting Dubai for a month. Can I bring my laptop and hair straightner and use an adaptor of some sort to make them fit in their plugs?

Also, where can I buy these adaptors in the U.S. or Dubai?

And how much?
