Can you use a sprint phone for boost mobile?

My friend gave me a sprint instinct its a really nice cool phone, but my parents wont sign any contracts well they don't want a monthly bill they only wil let me get a prepaid thing, and i do know boost mobile is linked with sprint, so i really want to know if i can use it on boost mobile prepaid company...
 
No because the instinct uses different formats and theres a new sprint/boost blackberry phone that is pretty cool for 60$ for a card unlimited everything
 
Sorry the Sprint only has three cell phones that will work with Boost Mobile. That is the Sanyo Mirro, Sanyo Incognito and Blackberry 8330
