Can you use a PS2 guitar on Xbox 360?

I know they make an adapter which converts a PS2 controller to a USB device that can then be used with a PS3 or PC. I've seen various adapters, some of which claim that other peripherals other than standard controllers (such as dance mats and guitars) can be used, and others supposedly can't. My question is: if you buy an adapter like this, can you use a PS2 guitar on Xbox 360?
