Can you transform a Mountain Bike into a BMX?

The title basically says it all. I want to do the transformation, but I am wondering if it is EVEN possible. Yes or No question and explain. Thanx 4 your time!
Well, I just want to change the handlebars...is that easy?
 
Absolutely not. There is a possibility if it is a dirt jumper, all you have to do is make it a singlespeed (if it isn't already) and put a BMX fork on it. Other than that, no don't even attempt it just buy a BMX bike
