I have heard the stories and the legends, but I never believed them. I was so sure I knew where I stood with reality and fantasy. I thought I knew who I loved at least but now here I am torn in between an impossible decision, impossible in two very different ways.
I have to make a choice while I'm literally here in hell hearing stories of the man I have fallen in love with being something out of the ordinary and different, he is a demon and there is no way around it. My first choice has been decided, I will believe the legends that have swept through my home town but it’s my second choice that is all the conflict. I am currently tied to a wall and the jagged stones my back lay on are painful and may be clouding my judgment but while I sit here I will make my decision, which is whether or not I will choose to be with Nate when all this is over, when he saves me because he will, he always does.
With the honesty I have spoken in those words I don't even think I have to make a decision because the decision has already been decided I will stand by him because I am certain he will stand by me, but now its all a matter of waiting. I have to wait for him to come and save me and this process can quite literally kill me.
As Jayson paces back and forth around me he turned and grabbed the back of my hair and asked me a simple question that I had no answer for “Where is Nate Now? I don't see lover demon here to protect you?” he laughed and through my head back and it hit the rocks and my head was thumping so loud and I could fell the blood drip to the bottom of my face.
“He is going to come,” I whispered mainly to myself. “He is going to come.” I repeated in an even lower whisper.
“What is that?” he asked as he ran up to me and got in my face and his eyes were a blood shot red and I could hear my pulse accelerate. But I could not let him squash my last shed of hope and it was more than just some inane idea that he would come. I knew he would and I felt it in my heart and I wasn’t going to let him scare me anymore.
“I said he will come and kill you!” I shouted as loud as I could and spit blood in his face.
“No, he won’t!” he shouted as he threw a bolt of fire against the wall “He is a coward, I mean seriously he wasn’t even brave enough to tell you who he truly is, which is a killer, you almost had to die in order for him to grow a pair and tell you about him being a demon, a natural born killer, but its pointless now because once the stars align all the power that could be yours, well that is supposed to be yours, will be mine, and your just going to be another dead human!” he laughed as he looked at me with power hungry eyes.
“No, he will come, I know he will come.” I whispered again in self assurance “He will come, he will come.” I hoped so much he would come and than suddenly there he was and I felt my heart fly and a smile spread across my face.
“Show Time!” Jayson yelled as he morphed into his true being, a killer.
