Can you take college courses in high school even if your high school doesnt offer it?

Like sign up for it somewhere else. 'Cause I think the high schools Im getting into doesnt offer any AP courses ...... speaking of ap courses - how are they? Hard? Criteras? Btw, I'll be going to a NYC Public High school, just in case it makes a difference.

AP classes are more demanding than regular high school courses, but not as demanding as college courses. If your high school does not offer dual-enrollment, you can still try to do it but you'll have to pay for it yourself and you have to check and see if they'll accept the credits. Also, college classes expect a lot more than high school - don't take a college class unless you're willing to devote a ton of time to it. If you fail it, and many high school students do, you still have to tell that to future colleges.
