I've been taking a birth control shot for almost a year now. The problem is that my mother and the doctor told me to take it on the bum, but its very painful. I can't sit or lay properly for a couple days. I'm starting a job soon where i'll be sitting for long hours. The directions on the box say to take it inter-muscular. Does that mean I can take it on my arm or thigh? Will it be less effective? I can't ask my doctor, she lives in a different country and my mom doesn't know.
