Can you suggest a good discussion forum for discussing the bible, Torah, Quran, etc?

for studious purposes, such as issues of mistranslation, studying our history, seeing what we have in common, etc? I was raised Christian but I am not technically Christian now, since I do not believe Jesus was sent by God to die for our sins. But I love reading the bible and am always coming up with something new and am curious about what the scripture means exactly, such as Isaiah 25 verse 6 where it reads, "a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things filled with marrow..."

I wonder what they mean by "lees" and "fat things filled with marrow". This way of storing food sheds light on how they used to live.

If you personally have an answer, opinion, etc, feel free to give that as well. I have many more scriptures to discuss. The bible is a very interesting set of books.

Thanks.
Enn, thanks for your input.

I have looked it up in other versions and in another one, at that point, it reads, "well oiled dishes and wine kept on the dregs."

"Well oiled dishes may also be accurate, according to Strong's concordance's definition for the Hebrew term for marrow. It says that marrow may be fatty, greasy, oily or rich substances such as olive oil and "fat things" would be things that hold substances such as I just described. My quote of the scripture came from the King James Version which uses an older form of English and I believe that the use of marrow at the time this version was originally written is a bit different than its use today.

"Wine kept on the lees" on the other hand is referring to the sediment part of the grape of the wine that settles at the bottom of the bottle. This is also according to Strong's concordance.

I just thought I'd let you know. Yes, I did do a lot of research on this and I truly enjoy it. ;)

You can look around http://www.beliefnet. com they have a bunch of forums there.
