my friend a few weeks ago, was knocked when he was walking to work by a man who was in his car who was in one of the streets in Sydney, Australia. He only looked right and turned left, without even checking both sides. My friend was immediately taken to the hospital with a few injuries (though not major). can my friend sue the driver for carelessness and get a compensation? or at least for the treatment cost?
can you sue a person for knocking you over with their car?
