I'm trying the Amazing Grace rhyme scheme
yes, it is a little silly

Pretty for watching

A frozen winter it's become
The ice the snow the rain
I will not let it weather me
I will not feel the pain

I'll call a friend stop to on by
I'll pull a cork on red
We'll drink until we've had enough
And laugh at what's been said

We'll watch snow cross the front porch light
We'll watch it through the day
We'll watch pine branches call to flakes
As they arrive to stay

A pretty sight we both behold
Snow dancing through the night
Beautiful crystal flakes which must
Vanish before daylight

Works waits us in the morning fight
Trying to be on time
If ice and snow do not depart
We will not make a dime
Oops, to stop on by S3L3
it was there earlier!!??

silly snowflakes, not flakey people
never mind what I just added, sheesh

haha i barely made it through! snow! ah no more please! jk, but really it is a good poem i like it. (i just hate snow! :-) but good job, and keep writing!

"I'll call a friend stop to on by"
were you nipping before your friend arrived?

And ... "pine branches call to *flakes*
As they arrive to stay"

I would send those flakes packing I want more stability in my companions..

*laughing*
