I currently have an iPhone 4 running iOS 4.2.1 and was thinking about using GreenPois0n RC5 to Jailbreak it. I'm just wondering what the downside to doing this is besides the major voided warranty? Can you still sync music, photos, videos, and apps all the same through iTunes as you can with an official iOS? Also, once you finish the jailbraking process, is there anyway to return it to an official iOS version, and if you can, would Apple be able to tell it was jailbroken at one point and time?
Just realized that RC5 was an outdated version, the one I actually downloaded comes up as version RC6.1
Also, a big question I forgot to ask is does jailbreaking alter any of the data currently on the phone, will it basically reformat it or does it leave everything how it is?
