Can you still get Financial Aid if you have filed for bankruptcy?

We are thinking about filing for bankruptcy but i am also getting ready to start school and i was wondering if you can still get Financial Aid even if we do declare bankruptcy?

Federal law prohibits discrimination in financial aid based on the fact for those filed bankruptcy.
