I am planning on transfering to a 4 year university, right now i'm in community College and i've been thinking about what i wanna do. I've decided that i want to become a Doctor, but a huge passion of mine is music. Mostly recording, and the studio aspects of music. I do also make and perform music. I pretty much wanna be like a Dr. Dre, (sounds corny), make beats, produce music, and also be on some music. I've done lots of research and found schools like MI in hollywood, a musicians school, but there is nothing else but music there. I've decided i want to move to Nashville and attend/transfer to Vanderbilt University because its a great place for Music (Music Row, ect) and the city of nashville is great, blah blah you get the picture. I still wanna become a doctor also, and ive read that Pre-med doesnt specifically require a scientific major, and pre med is really just a program meaning if you take certain classes, youll finish the pre-med program/requirments for med school. So im wondering is it possible for me to attend somewhere like vanderbilt or belmont (also in nashville, they have a great music school/and they also have other stuff like history, science ect) and major in music, like music production or musical peformance and still be able to finish the Pre-med requirments and be eligable to apply for Med School. sounds crazy that i want to be a Doctor and a music producer, but its the two things i wanna do, so i might as well learn them just incase one or the other doesnt work. Plan A, Plan B typa thing. Thanks for all the help.
