I cant solve this and its driving me nuts!!! I need help! Here it is:
There are 4 saergants escaping and they need to cross a bridge. Only 2 people can cross at a time and each group that crosses needs a flashlight. They Only have 1 flashlight. There also all injured, which means it takes each one a different amount of time to cross.
Seargant Lewis: 1 min
Seargant Davis: 10 min
Seargant Stuart: 2 min
Seargant Wilson: 5 min
How long will it take for them to cross, and how(who will go with who?) Really try to solve this, dont just say kill two guys and run, or dont use a flashlight. It really has an answer, because are teachr gave this 2 us(its not HW so im not cheating) All he said was that it takes less than 19 minutes. Also, they cant roll the flashlight back(HINT: I think someone has to go back and forth) If you solve this then thanks a lot and i will pick the first right answer as the best!
